Chapter Awards

Clinical Excellence Award

Purpose: A peer or self-nominated award developed by the SCCM Ohio Chapter to recognize critical care providers who have contributed to their organization or the practice of critical care in a significant way.

Criteria: The nomination should include written examples of how this critical care provider has contributed to their organization or the practice of critical care. Enough information should be provided such that the chapter should be able to understand why the critical care provider should be recognized. All information must be provided in the nomination form.  Submission of CV/Resume is also required.

Eligibility: Member of the SCCM Ohio chapter (or willing to join). SCCM Ohio Executive Board members not eligible; however, Committee Chairs and Chair-elects are eligible.

Selection: The SCCM Ohio chapter member award selection committee will review all nominations and select the winner.

​Recognition: Announcement of the award recipient is made after the nomination period. The winner(s) will receive a plaque and $500 of professional development funds to be used towards the national SCCM congress or for other supplies/education related to professional development. A photo of the recipient with the award will be requested for posting on social media.

Clinical Excellence Nomination

New Practitioner Clinical Excellence Award

Purpose: A peer or self-nominated award developed by the SCCM Ohio Chapter to recognize critical care providers who are within the first five years of practice who have contributed to their organization or the practice of critical care in a significant way.

Criteria: The nomination should include written examples of how this critical care provider has contributed to their organization or the practice of critical care. Enough information should be provided such that the chapter should be able to understand why the critical care provider should be recognized. All information must be provided in the nomination form. Submission of CV/Resume is also required.

Eligibility: Junior member of the SCCM Ohio chapter (student, resident, fellow, or member < 3 years from terminal training). SCCM Ohio Executive Board members not eligible; however, Committee Chairs and Chair-elects are eligible.

Selection: The SCCM Ohio chapter member award selection committee will review all nominations and select the winner.

New Practitioner Nomination

Outstanding Member Award

Purpose: A peer or self-nominated award developed by the SCCM Ohio Chapter to support professional development and to assist our members in achieving learning goals, and to promote optimal care of critical care patients in Ohio.

Criteria: The nomination should include written examples of how the Ohio Chapter member has demonstrated active participation and engagement in Ohio Chapter activities. Enough information should be provided such that the chapter should be able to understand why the member should be recognized. All information must be provided in the nomination form. Submission of CV/Resume is also required.

Eligibility: Member of the SCCM Ohio chapter. SCCM Ohio Executive Board members not eligible; however, Committee Chairs and Chair-elects are eligible
